Marigold is a garden tracker for home growers: plan beds, track plants, get care reminders timed to your growing zone, and log your harvests.
Why am I not getting reminder notifications?
Check Settings → Notifications → Marigold on your device and make sure
notifications are allowed. Reminders fire at 9 AM local time on the day of
the task.
How do I get automatic reminders for a vegetable?
Give the plant a planted date (Edit → Date Planted). Perennials (fruit
trees and berries) get yearly reminders automatically.
Where is my data stored? Do I need an account?
No account — everything is stored on your device. Use Settings → Export
Backup to save a copy anywhere you like, and Import Backup to restore it.
How do I move my garden to a new phone?
Either restore the new phone from your device backup, or Export Backup on
the old phone, send the file to the new phone, and Import Backup there.
(Plant photos are not included in export files.)
My growing zone or frost date looks wrong.
Both are rough estimates from your postal/ZIP code — tap the field and
correct them; everything downstream (reminders, frost warnings) uses your
edited values.
